Empowering Young Lives: Why We’re Supporting 'Become' This April

As we continue our year of giving back, Beechwood Mortgages is incredibly proud to announce Become as our charity partner for the month of April.

For over 30 years, Become has been a tireless champion for children in care and young care leavers. They recognise a difficult truth: the current care system isn’t working properly, and young people are too often paying the price. But Team Become is fighting every day to change that narrative and create a better care experience for everyone involved.

How Become Makes a Difference:

Become is dedicated to both supporting individuals right now and campaigning for long-term systemic change. Their vital work includes:

• The Care Advice Service: A friendly, accessible support line offering guidance for children currently in care and care leavers navigating their next steps.

• Lifelong Support: Helping young people understand their rights, connect with others, and access the support they need during and after their time in care.

​

• Propel into Education: Providing targeted help for care-experienced youth looking to head to college or university.

​

• Propel into Work: Helping young adults get ready for the workforce, whether they are looking for a job or an apprenticeship.
